Many Different Types of Advertising

Advertising is a form of communication to influence people to buy goods or services or support political candidates or ideas. Often communicates a message that contains the name of the product or service and how the product or service can potentially benefit consumers. Advertising often tries to convince potential customers to purchase or consume a certain brand of product or service. The modern advertising and developed with increasing mass production in the late 19th and early 20th century.

The types of advertising :

Virtually any medium can be used for advertising. Advertising in the commercial media can include wall paintings, billboards, street furniture components, printed flyers and rack cards, radio, cinema and television ads, web banners, mobile telephone screens, shopping carts, web popups, advertising, air, bus stop benches, human signs, magazines, newspapers, Town Crier, sides of buses, banners attached or parts thereof ( "logojets") in-flight announcements on the back shelves or storage bins above, taxi doors, roof mounts and passenger screens, musical performances, subway platforms and trains, rubber bands on disposable diapers, the doors of the bath seats, stickers on apples in supermarkets, shopping trolleys offer (grabertising), the first section of audio and video, posters, and back of event tickets and supermarket receipts. Any place an "identified" sponsor pays to deliver their message through a medium is advertising.

Television :

The TV advertising is the most effective form of mass advertising market, as reflected by the high prices TV networks charge for commercial airtime in the popular TV events.The most television commercials have a song or a melody that listeners soon relate to the product.

Infomercials :

A long-form commercial is commercial television, usually five minutes or more. The word "infomercial" is an acronym for the words "information" and "commercial". The primary goal of an infomercial is to create an impulse purchase so that consumers believe that the presentation and immediately purchase the product through the advertised free phone number or a website.

Radio advertising :

Radio advertising is a form of advertising via radio. Radio Commercials are emitted as radio waves in the air from a transmitter to an antenna and a thus to a receiving device. Airtime is purchased from a station or network in exchange for sending advertisements.

Print advertising :

Print advertising describes the print media, such as a newspaper, magazine or trade journal. This covers everything from the media, with a broad readership base, as a national newspaper or magazine, the more specific resources such as local newspapers and magazines in very specialized topics.

Online advertising :

Online advertising is a form of marketing that uses the Internet and World Wide Web with the express aim to deliver marketing messages to attract customers. Examples of online advertising include contextual ads that appear on the pages in search engine results, banner advertisements, in text ads, multimedia ads, advertising on social networks, online classifieds, advertising networks and marketing e-mail, including e-mail spam.

Billboards :

Billboards are large structures in public places display advertisements for approval of pedestrians and motorists. Very often located on major roads with a lot of passing motorists and pedestrians, but can be placed anywhere with lots of spectators, as public transport and at stations in shopping centers or office buildings, and stadiums.

The mobile billboards :

Mobile billboards are mounted steerable trucks or billboards or digital displays. These can only be produced vehicles to carry advertisements along the routes of the pre-selected by customers, or may be specially equipped to load trucks.

Mobile displays are used for various situations in metropolitan areas throughout the world, including:

In-store advertising :

In-store advertising is placed in a retail store. It involves placing a product in conspicuous places in a tent like eye level at the end of the corridors and boxes near striking show to promote a certain product, and advertising in places such as car purchases and save video screens.

Covert advertising :

Surreptitious advertising, also known as guerilla advertising is when a product or brand is embedded in entertainment and media. For example, in a movie, the protagonist can use an element or another of a particular brand, as in the movie Minority Report where Tom Cruise's character John Anderton owns a phone with the Nokia logo clearly written in the corner superior, or his watch engraved with Bulgari logo.

Celebrities :

This type of advertising focuses on the use of celebrity, fame, money, popularity to gain recognition of their products and promote specific products or transactions. Marketers usually advertise their products, for example, when celebrities share their favorite products, or use of specific brands or clothing designers.

The criticism of advertising :

While advertising can be seen as necessary for economic growth is not without social costs. Unsolicited commercial e-mail and other forms of spam have become so prevalent as to have become a major nuisance to users of these services, besides being a financial burden on Internet service providers.
